Portlock Boot CD

Portlock adds support for Microsoft Hyper-V

Portlock delivers Hyper-V support, yet another feature on the path to providing customers with a complete set of utilities for both physical and virtual environments. In addition to support for VMware, Microsoft Virtual PC, Microsoft Virtual Server and XenServer, Portlock's support list is now accompanied by Microsoft's latest virtualization technology solution, Hyper-V.

The Portlock Boot CD and Hyper-V Portlock Storage Manager and the Portlock Boot CD include a full assortment of tools for managing WinPE, as well as an extensive toolkit for managing storage, backup, restore and disaster recovery. With the recent addition of support for 64-bit platforms for these two utilities, we now have the capability of managing and performing physical-to-virtual (P2V) migrations for a variety of Windows platforms to Hyper-V. Portlock Storage Manager and the Portlock Boot CD enable users to perform P2V and virtual-to-virtual migrations for all major virtualization platforms.

To perform a P2V migration to Hyper-V, download the latest version of the Portlock Boot CD 5.0 and burn the ISO directly to a CD or boot your virtual machine (VM) directly from the ISO. For more information on performing a P2V migration, please see our P2V guide.

Note: Please review any known issues and all supported platforms for VM configuration considerations.
