Portlock Announces Virtualization Products, Support for Microsoft Platforms

VMworld 2006 Conference - Los Angeles (BUSINESS WIRE) – Nov. 7, 2006 – Portlock™, a leading provider of next-generation storage management and disaster recovery software, today announced the upcoming availability of new products for protecting, migrating and managing data on Microsoft virtual machines in Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 using the Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) format.

Virtual Disk Optimizer™ performs operations to optimize space and performance of virtual machines. The key benefit is to reduce the size of the virtual machine VHD file to simplify distribution.

Virtualize My Server™ creates virtual machines of Windows operating systems and supports Microsoft Virtual PC and Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2.
